Move More, Live Longer!

Did you know that even light activities like washing dishes, gentle gardening, or just moving around the house can significantly reduce the risk of early death among older adults?

Recent research from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, published in the BMJ, studied over 36,000 individuals.

Key findings:

  • Sitting for long = higher risk of diseases and early death.

  • Replace sitting time with ANY movement = immense benefits.

  • Engaging in intense activity, even for short stints, is especially beneficial.

  • Just adding 58 minutes of light activity daily can decrease the risk of death by 40%!

And remember, it's not about gym workouts! Simple changes, like walking to a colleague instead of phoning, make a big difference.
